Alison Bury is founder member and leader of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with which she has also appeared regularly as a soloist and director. She has played with most of London's leading period instrument orchestras. For over twenty years she led the English Baroque Soloists, performing all over the world and recording much of the baroque and classical repertoire with them. She regularly plays in concerts of chamber music with colleagues from the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and has given recitals with harpsichordists Maggie Cole, Nicholas Parle and Malcolm Proud. Solo work includes performances and recordings with the Academy of Ancient Music, the Raglan Baroque Players and the Taverner Players. In Autumn 2009 Alison Bury joined Hendrik Bouman in The Baroque Muse for the recording of Hendrik Bouman's 5 Baroque Concerto for Anna in Sussex, United Kingdom.
